Team in Training

My sister is doing the Lake Tahoe Century – “America’s Most Beautiful Ride” – as a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. Our Dad died of Multiple Myeloma, a similar, but rarer form of blood cancer like L&L, in 2001 after battling for several years. This is a great cause and reminds us that we all know someone affected by cancer – something, which in my opinion, appears to becoming rather commonplace. That’s a scary thought.

Here is Heather’s TnT site where donations can be made. If you are poor like me then buy a box of Betty Crocker cookie mix, bake em’ up, and sell em’ at work or something. 50cents a cookie doesn’t sound like a lot, but the margin of profit is huge and you just made $20 you could donate. Make the payment jar based on the honor system – and generally a few good people will throw in more than their fare share. Those that skimp are gonna get hit by a bus and go to hell – karma.
